BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Today marked the fourth and final fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Cropac Equipment.  It was a successful first attempt as Cropac raised over $200.  The money has been donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Special thanks goes out to everyone on the Cropac team who contributed and helped organize the weekly events.

Breast cancer is a complex disease that will affect 1 in 8 Canadian women during their lifetime. According to the latest statistics, it is estimated that 26,300 women and 230 men in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer and almost 5000 women and 43 men will die from the disease in 2017.  It is important to raise awareness to contribute to the research that will eventually lead to a cure.  Visit the Canadian Cancer Society website to find out more information on how you can help.
